2019 Alder Springs Vineyard Mendocino Pinot Noir

2019 Alder Springs Vineyard Mendocino Pinot Noir

WINE NOTES

We fermented naturally and spontaneously with 100% whole clusters and native yeasts. We aged the wine 16 months in barrel, 20% new French oak.

The palate surges with raspberry and cranberry red fruit notes and rose petal, underscored by crushed gravel and a hint of salinity. Pair with charred salmon.

VINEYARD NOTES

Stu Bewley planted his Mendocino vineyard in the mid-1990s. When you arrive at Alder Springs—a few hours north of the Bay Area, just 12 miles from the coast—you find yourself in the wilderness. The vineyard is perched 2,000 feet high in the mountains of Mendocino, hedged by a thick forest of redwoods.
